NitroGen®

We primarily use our nitrogen generation equipment to generate nitrogen onsite for tank cleaning. The nitrogen is injected into the tank and used as an inert gas to maximize safety during tank cleaning. Our NitroGen® System is also utilized to purge pipelines and vessels of various configurations.

  • As a standard practice, an oxygen level of less than 8% is achieved and maintained throughout the entire automated tank cleaning process, eliminating the chance of fire or explosion.
  • NitroGen® includes safety features such as: PLC based control, panel integrating warning signals, constant monitoring of nitrogen quality and gas sensors
  • Our on-site generation is based on Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology which includes two parallel separation units containing Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS)

PSA Benefits

Increased Safety

  • No safety risks of handling of high pressure cylinders
  • No large quantities of cryogenic liquefied gas
  • Gas sensors and PLC based warning features
  • Built to comply with the highest industry standards

Reliability

  • PSA generators are less sensitive than membrane generators
  • More robust, thus more suitable for potentially harsh environments
  • Our NitroGen® generators house two compressors which can run simultaneously or serve as a backup to minimize downtime

Cost-Effective

  • No excess gas is produced
  • No recurring transportation or delivery charges
  • Low installation and running costs
  • Only electricity is needed to run the generators
  • Minimum maintenance
  • Much lower production and maintenance costs with PSA than membrane solutions
  • No loss of production time due to running out of gas

Small Footprint

  • Our complete NitroGen® System is housed in a 20 ft. portable container
  • The only additional equipment needed is a power source, unlike membrane units

High Quality

  • Gas purity from our PSA generators is 99.5% (standard) and can reach 99.9%
  • PSA generators consistently produce the same high amount of gas
  • Our equipment can generate nitrogen up to 500 Nm3/hr
